The holidays are here, and it’s time to shop for gifts for your friends and family! Here are some of my recommendations for the 2019 holiday season.
- Dermalogica Night-Out Skin Fix
- This is definitely one of the best holiday deals available at Dermstore. The Dermalogica Night-Out Skin Fix includes the Stress Positive Eye Lift and Sound Sleep Cocoon. The eye cream “brightens, de-puffs and energizes the skin to reduce visible signs of stress and counter the look of puffiness.” The Sound Sleep Cocoon has the benefits of both an overnight face mask and a moisturizer; it helps to “reduce signs of skin fatigue and to create a nourishing cocoon for softer, more hydrated skin.” As a plus, it also includes French lavender essential oil to promote a deeper, more relaxing sleep. Whether you’re a stressed college student, working woman with long hours, or a tired mom, anything that can help to reduce visible signs of stress and help you sleep better should be an immediate ‘add to cart’ purchase!
- Laura Mercier Radiance Primer
- If I have to be out the door in two minutes, I’ll quickly apply this primer after my sunscreen. Laura Mercier’s Radiance Primer is water-based and gives your skin a healthy glow, so you never have to go to class with a dull, dehydrated complexion. In addition to giving your skin a smooth, even surface, it also includes an antioxidant vitamin complex that works to protect your skin from harmful pollutants found in the environment. This is the perfect two-step routine for those early mornings when you just want to roll out of bed and still look somewhat put together.
- Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour
- On the rare occasion that I do wear eyeshadow, I always prefer it to look as natural as possible. This typically means wearing a shade that mimics the natural shadow under my brow bone to enhance the shape of my eyes, and Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eye Colour is perfect for achieving this look. Its creamy, blendable formulation allows for an easy application with just your fingertips. It’s also crease and transfer-resistant for up to 12 hours, which means that you won’t have to worry about touching up throughout the day. For neutral tones, I recommend the shades Ginger and Caramel.
- Sonix Tower 28: SOS Face Mist
- I’ve always preferred natural skincare, and it’s been hard to find a good face mist derived from natural ingredients. This Tower 28: SOS Face Mist from Sonix is 100% Natural, Dermatologist Tested, and has received the National Eczema Association’s Seal of Acceptance. It’s also pH balanced and includes hypochlorous acid, which helps protect from harmful bacteria and inflammation. I like to spritz this on my face in the morning to wake me up and depuff my skin and then again at night about an hour before I go to bed.
- Sonix Ginza Sunglasses
- I know what you’re thinking: why would you want to buy sunglasses in the middle of winter? It’s for the same reason your dermatologist tells you to wear sunscreen year-round! In fact, it’s best to purchase sunglasses off-season (not during the summer) because this is typically when they go on sale. These Ginza sunglasses from Sonix are the perfect sunglasses you can wear year-round. They have 100% UVA and UVB protection, so your eyes remain safe while also looking sophisticated! Lots of sunglasses that have a similar style tend to look and feel cheap, but that isn’t the case with these. Whether you wear them with a bathing suit or a trench coat and boots, you can pair these sunglasses with any outfit.
- Sonix Blush Quartz Case
- When it comes to phone cases, there’s usually a trade-off between style and protection. I love how the Sonix Blush Quartz case offers a seamless design while protecting your phone from drops up to ten feet! It also has a scratch-resistant coating and raised shock-absorbent sides to protect your phone’s screen and camera. Unlike many other protective cases, this case is slim, lightweight, and fits seamlessly into your pockets.
- Flamingo Shave Set
- This is the perfect practical purchase for just about anyone in your life, but especially for those who are always on the go! This travel-ready Shave Set from Flamingo includes their Razor, an extra cartridge, travel-size version of their Foaming Shave Gel, travel-size version of their Body Lotion, a shower hook, and it all comes in a reusable purple pouch! With five blades made of Swedish steel, a flexible hinge, a weighted ergonomic handle, and textured rubber grip, Flamingo’s razor was designed to give you a close shave everywhere – even in those hard to reach places. It looks better than your traditional razor, and it’s extremely functional and practical too! Formulated with Aloe Vera and conditioning emollients and a Sicilian Lemon scent, the Foaming Shave Gel leaves your legs feeling smooth and soft after shaving. It has a consistency creamy enough to stay on your wet skin and effortlessly rinses off the blades, leaving you with clean, smooth skin.
- Flamingo Body Wax Kit
- These convenient soft gel wax strips come ready-to-use right out of the box. Flamingo’s Body Wax Kit includes 24 (12 double-sided) strips, each of which is good for at least two pulls, and 6 post-wax cloths. The first wax blend of its kind in the United States, it removes even the finest and shortest of hairs without any artificial dyes or fragrances. Containing Sweet Almond Oil, the plush post-wax cloths were designed to gently remove any stickiness from excess wax while also calming and nourishing the skin.
I hope you found this list helpful! What are some of your favorite things to gift friends and family?
I love an accessory so I’d definitely buy sunglasses at any time of year if I liked them! I am addicted to Dermalogica skincare and the Sound Sleep Cocoon has honestly transformed my skin this season. Not only is it deeply nourishing but smells so incredible!

I agree! Dermalogica has some of the best skincare products 🙂
Love this post!
My favorite things to gift are items that are heartfelt and well researched. I like to give only two gifts to each person. One a book I chose especially for them and two an item they have expressed to me they desired.
That’s so thoughtful! I love that idea 🙂
Thank you for this list. I’m seeing things I’d like for myself like the primer lol
I have a Laura Mercier primer too and it’s a total failsafe in my make up bag! I don’t think you can go wrong with a book or book token at any time of year, especially Christmas 🙂 Lisa
I agree! Books are always great gifts 🙂
These items are absolutely beautiful! I love the phone case, so posh! Great post 🙂

I love gift guides for the holiday season! That phone case is too cute. I love anything quarts/crystal haha. Great post!
Thank you! It’s such a cute case 🙂
The Skin Fix threw me off for a moment; I thought it was a coloring book because of the amazing packaging. That is a sweet thing to watch a friend or family member unwrap! 🙂
I love the packaging of Skin Fix too!
Oooh! I love this gift guide. It is a value-add to the receiver ;). You can never go wrong with new sunglasses. Thanks for sharing!
