Since switching to clean skincare, I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect clean beauty brand. Kosas gifted me some of their products to test out, and I’ve fallen completely in love with them! I’ve found these to be great quality, and all their products are at a fair price point. Here are some of my favorites from the brand:
- Lipfuel – Pulse
- This tinted lip balm includes natural oils and vitamins to hydrate your lips while giving them a hint of color. The Kosas Lipfuel includes Wild Mint, Konjac Root, Vitamin E, and Hyaluronic Acid for energizing, protective, and healing benefits. The tint has an impressive staying power, and I haven’t found the need to reapply this more often than three times a day. For a natural peach tint, I recommend purchasing this in the shade Pulse.
- Tinted Face Oil
- One of the most innovative products in the industry, the Kosas Tinted Face Oil is the perfect blend of makeup and skincare. This is a medium coverage foundation with the consistency and benefits of a facial oil. It has three types of mineral pigment contained “in a base of six active botanical oils to instantly even the appearance of skin tone, minimizes pores, and erases the look of imperfections.” It’s designed to be applied with your fingers, just like your everyday skincare products. The oil quickly absorbs into your skin, leaving you with a seamlessly natural finish. I love using this to achieve a simple no-makeup makeup look.
- Color and Light Palette (Blush and Highlighter) – Contrachroma, Papaya 1972
- This is the perfect blush and highlighter palette with shades that perfectly complement each other and look flattering on every skin tone. It’s been so hard for me to find a clean beauty brand with decent quality blushes, but these have quickly become my favorite. I have the shades Contrachroma and Papaya 1972, which are both powder blushes. I prefer to use powder because of my combination skin, but they have many cream blushes that I’m sure would work just as well. While many powder blushes can make the rest of your face makeup look dry and emphasize skin texture, I haven’t had that issue with these. The Kosas Color and Light Palettes are formulated to be skin-conditioning, buildable, blendable, and brightening. I like using Papaya 1972 – a peach shade – for a daytime look and Contrachroma – a bronze shade – for an evening look. These are incredibly long-lasting, and they can definitely be built up to be as natural or as dramatic as you want them to be.
- 10 Second Eyeshadow – Element, Copper Halo
- I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with eyeshadow. Though I usually loved the end result, I dreaded the process of applying it due to fall-out, lack of blendability, and/or creasing. Luckily, you don’t have to struggle with any of these problems with the Kosas 10-Second Eyeshadows. These are water-based, quick-drying, crease-resistant eyeshadows with a buildable, long-lasting formula that’s also good for your skin; this immediately caught my attention, because an eyeshadow with skincare benefits is unheard of! Kosas formulated these eyeshadows with Apricot Kernel Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Jojoba Seed Oil to smooth and tone the delicate skin on your eyelids. I have the shades Copper Halo and Element, both of which are great shades for a nighttime look. Copper Halo is a warm coppery rose gold, and Element is a warm chestnut; these are perfect complements to any holiday outfit! I’d love to try the shade Globe, a neutral champagne, for a daytime or New Year’s Eve look.
- Weightless Lip Color – Vegas
- As someone with a neutral medium skin tone, it’s been hard for me to find the perfect nude lipstick. I almost never wear lipstick because I tend to not like how the shades look with my skin tone, but I really like the Kosas Weightless Lip Color in Vegas. This is a beigey-nude lipstick that is universally flattering, hydrating, and nourishing for your lips. It’s formulated with Mango Seed Butter, Shea Butter, Cocoa Seed Butter, Green Tea Seed Oil, and Sweet Orange Oil. As with the rest of Kosas’ products, I really appreciate how the brand implements so many skincare benefits into their makeup product!
- Wet Lip Oil Gloss – Dip
- I tend to dislike most lip glosses because they tend to look unnatural and feel sticky. However, this Kosas Wet Lip Oil Gloss looks and feels almost like a shiny tinted lip balm. It’s described as a hybrid lip treatment and gloss, which I think describes it perfectly. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides, and Evening Primrose Oil, this leaves your lips feeling hydrated while you’re wearing it and after removal. If you want an even smoother base, I recommend applying Lipfuel before this. I also like applying Lipfuel after removing this for the day in order to lock in the hydration!
Thanks again to Kosas for sending these products along! Which products would you be most interested in trying out?
